Career biography: Galina Spierling is a Dubai-based celebrity nail artist & podiatrist known across the Middle East & North Africa for her refined artistry & visionary approach. She founded Galina’s Hair & Nails Salon & School, which she successfully sold in 2024. It now operates as Wella House, the first of its kind in the world. Galina continues to lead the beauty industry with her original designs, product innovation & a growing role as a mentor & coach. She works closely with high-turnover professional beauty brands, factories & service providers across the MENA region. A multilingual entrepreneur & mother of two, she remains a powerful force - balancing creativity, business acumen & elegance with effortless grace.
Personal biography: Galina Spierling is a vibrant mix of elegance, strength & curiosity. A Dubai resident for over 30 years, she calls the city her second home & has watched it grow while travelling the world. She’s passionate about oil painting, Muay Thai boxing, reading & connecting with interesting people. Galina loves all things feminine - fashion, beauty, shopping - and finds inspiration in history, legacy & culture. A true food lover, she enjoys cooking & exploring global cuisine, from street food to fine dining. Her favourite cities comprise Hong Kong, New York, Paris, London & St. Petersburg.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: Nail competition is the best tool for all those involved in the professional service industry - for salon owners it’s a great motivational tool; or professionals it’s the tool to grow & upgrade every micro & macro aspect in professionalism; for clients it is to be with the nail artist; the brand. When running my own salon - I had to look no further for proof for hiring new talent if he or she had been competing anywhere. It meant professionalism to me.
Advice to competitors: You are a hero by just being in the arena! You are the champions by reading the rules & getting prepared! My advice is 'just finish on time, make new experiences, friends & memories. Build your success by just taking part - victory is when striving to be professional!
