Career biography: I am a nail artist & technician based in Manhattan, NYC, with over 5 years of experience, specialising in Russian Manicure & Hard Gel work under my brand, Zabota Nails. I serve both Russian & English-speaking clients across NYC. As an active competitor & judge within the Nailympia circuit, I have placed in multiple international championships, including Nailympia Orlando, San Antonio & London, as well as Nailart France & Russia’s Nail MEETUP. I most recently served as a floor judge at Nailympia Orlando in the Gel Polish & Stiletto categories. I'm currently pursuing an Education Partner relationship with Glitterbels, deepening my focus on technique-driven education within the industry.
Personal biography: Outside of the salon, I enjoy cooking, caring for plants at home, playing board games & travelling.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: I believe nail competitions push artists beyond their everyday work & help them grow technically & creatively. They set a standard of excellence for the industry, encourage precision & innovation & create a space where nail professionals from different countries & backgrounds can share techniques & inspire one another. Competitions also build confidence & open doors - for me personally, judging & competing have deepened my understanding of the craft & connected me to an incredible international community.
Advice to competitors: Practice your piece repeatedly before the competition so the technique becomes second nature under time pressure. Pay close attention to the guidelines & requirements for your category - small details matter to judges. Stay calm, manage your time wisely & don’t be afraid to bring your own creative voice to the work.
