For me, competitions are not only about awards - they are about evolution. Nailympia unites exceptionally talented, driven & visionary nail artists from around the world. Career biography: My name is Viktoria Voloshyna, an international nail artist, educator & competition winner based in California, USA. I began my journey in the nail industry at the age of 15, building my foundation in Ukraine, gaining international experience while working in Poland & expanding my education in the United States. I specialise in e-file dry manicure, advanced nail extensions & high-concept nail art, with a strong focus on precision, aesthetics & natural nail health. In the past year, I've attained International Champion recognition through award-winning performances at Nailympia & as a Grand Prix winner at the Global Talent Beauty Cup. Today, I work in a private studio & lead Tory Pro Nails - my studio & educational platform - where I provide advanced trainings for nail professionals, helping to refine their techniques & elevate their standards.
Personal biography: I am deeply connected to music. I am a musician & have received international awards in singing. I also play the piano, which continues to inspire my sense of artistry & creative expression. I enjoy travelling, long drives & discovering new places & experiences. These moments of movement & exploration give me fresh energy, new perspectives & inspiration that naturally flow into my work. I value growth, curiosity & creativity not only in my career but in life as a whole.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: I value nail competitions because they represent a unique space for professional & artistic development. They require a level of concentration, control & attention to detail, which goes far beyond everyday salon work. Preparing for competition challenges not only technique, but mindset, creativity & resilience. Competitions create an environment where standards are exceptionally high & growth becomes inevitable. They encourage self-evaluation, refinement of skills & the courage to step outside of comfort zones. For me, competing is not defined solely by results or awards. It is about evolution, inspiration & the continuous pursuit of excellence - qualities that naturally influence both my work & my approach as an educator.
Advice to other competitors: Focus on progress rather than perfection. Each competition is an opportunity to discover new strengths in your technique, timing & creativity. Measure yourself against your own previous work, not others - growth comes from pushing your own limits. Plan thoroughly, stay composed during the process & treat every model as a chance to deliver your highest-quality work. Most importantly, embrace the experience & enjoy it. Competitions will challenge you, expand your skills & help you become a more confident & resilient artist.
