Why did you choose to join the Nailympia circuit?: I chose to join the Nailympia circuit because it represents the highest level of professionalism, creativity & skill in our industry. After years of perfecting my e-file dry manicure technique, I felt ready to challenge myself on a global stage where the standards are incredibly high & every detail matters.
For me, competitions aren’t just about medals - they’re about growth. Nailympia brings together some of the most passionate, disciplined & innovative nail artists from all over the world. Being part of that community pushes me to keep improving, stay inspired & set even higher goals for myself as an educator & competitor.
What has winning at Nailympia done for your career & confidence?: Winning at Nailympia has been one of the most transformative moments in my career. It validated years of hard work, discipline & the countless hours I’ve spent mastering e-file dry manicure & extensions techniques. Competing at that level forces you to grow fast, think differently & perfect every tiny detail - so standing on that podium felt like proof that my skills belong here!
But the biggest shift was internal. Nailympia gave me a completely new level of confidence. Not the loud, flashy kind - the quiet confidence of knowing I can do this, even in the most competitive, high-pressure environments!
Professionally, it opened doors to judging, brand collaborations, speaking invitations & advanced trainings. Winning didn’t change who I am, but it strengthened the direction I’m going.

Career biography: My name is Sofiia Mazur, an international nail educator, competitor & natural-nail specialist based in Scottsdale, Arizona. I started doing nails at 14 in Ukraine & trained across Ukraine, Canada & the US, I specialise in e-file dry manicure & natural-nail work!
I’m a multi-time international champion with Grand Prix titles, six Nailympia awards & participation in the OMC World Championship for Team Ukraine. Today I teach at major U.S. beauty shows & run Sova Nails Academy, focusing on elevating natural-nail standards & modern education!
Personal biography: Outside of nails, I love playing drums, planning my next trips & exploring new places! I enjoy simple cozy moments too: good coffee, long drives & time spent learning something new. My hobbies keep me creative, grounded & excited for everything I’m building in my career! Sometimes you just need to unwind a little to be ready for the new beginnings!
Why you believe in nail competitions?: I believe in nail competitions because they push you to grow in ways regular salon work never can!
Competing forces you to focus on precision, discipline & technique at the highest level. It teaches you how to work under pressure, accept critique & constantly improve!
Competitions also bring together passionate artists from all over the world & being in that environment is incredibly inspiring. For me, it’s not just about winning medals - it’s about challenging myself, staying motivated & bringing that elevated standard back to my students & clients!
Advice to other competitors: My biggest advice is to focus on growth, not perfection. Every competition is a chance to learn something new about your technique, your timing & yourself. Don’t compare your work to others - compare it to your last set!
Prepare well, stay calm & treat each model as if you’re creating your best work. And most importantly, enjoy the experience! Truly! Competing will push you, challenge you & shape you into a stronger, more confident artist!
