Career biography: I'm Renáta Deák. In 2017, I decided to change my career path, and in 2018 I became a nail technician. That August, I opened my own nail salon with high hopes for the future. In the years that followed, I attended many workshops to improve my skills and deepen my knowledge. I began entering smaller competitions in 2022, but because their scoring systems varied and didn’t always reflect my actual level, I chose to take on a bigger challenge: my first Nailympia in 2023. I didn’t win a medal that year, but the experience gave me honest, accurate feedback about where I stood at that time. At the beginning of 2024, I decided to take a break from competing to focus on practicing and refining my techniques. When I returned to Nailympia later that year, I competed in three categories and earned 2nd place and 3rd place medals. In 2025, I entered more competitions and achieved several top-three placements. Looking ahead, I hope to begin teaching in the coming years.
