Why did you choose to join the Nailympia circuit?: I joined Nailympia to challenge myself at the highest international level, improve my skills, learn from the industry’s best professionals & gain valuable experience. I also wanted to compete alongside a large number of talented competitors to see how my skills compared on the international stage and to understand the true value of my abilities. Competing at Nailympia has inspired me to continue growing as a nail artist & to represent my work on a global stage.
What has winning at Nailympia done for your career & confidence?: Winning at Nailympia has given me greater confidence in my abilities & confirmed that my work meets international standards. It also proved to me that the journey I started 10 years ago in a small room, practicing on my friends, was truly worth it. Standing on the Nailympia winners’ podium made me realise that every hour of practice, every challenge & every effort had led to this incredible achievement. It showed me that my dedication & passion had produced a result beyond what I once imagined. This experience has motivated me to keep improving, participate in more competitions & continue building my professional career. These achievements have also increased my credibility with clients & within the nail industry.

Career biography: My name is Hanna Drana, and I am originally from Odesa, Ukraine. I moved to the United States three years ago, where I continue to grow both personally & professionally. My journey in the nail industry began 10 years ago in Ukraine, in a small room where I practiced on my friends. As my skills developed & my work received great feedback, I started my professional career in a beauty salon. Over the years, I worked in three beauty salons, building a loyal client base & gaining valuable experience. Many of my clients from Ukraine still keep in touch with me & continue to support my work. Today, I have over 8 years of professional experience as a nail artist. I specialise in high-level salon nails, reality nails, flat art & poster design. Throughout my career, I have earned multiple international awards, including 1st & 2nd place at Nailympia Orlando 2026. Moving to the United States has opened new opportunities for professional growth & international competitions.
Personal biography: Outside of my profession, I enjoy staying active through sports, especially tennis & dancing. I also love traveling, photography & spending time with my family & friends. One of my greatest passions is painting & I always try to find inspiration to create real artwork on canvas. I believe creativity comes not only from work but also from the experiences, people & moments that inspire us every day.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: I believe in nail competitions because they take you completely out of your comfort zone. When you’re simply working as a nail technician & running your social media, it’s easy to become comfortable with your daily routine. While you continue to grow, it’s different from the challenge that competition brings. Preparing for a competition, going through every stage of the process, arriving at the event & experiencing the incredible atmosphere on competition day is unlike anything else. It pushes you beyond your limits, helps you discover new strengths & feels like stepping into another world. The experience, emotions & personal growth you gain are truly unforgettable.
Advice to other competitors: To every nail artist thinking about competing, my advice is simple: take the first step out of your comfort zone & say, 'Let’s try'. Allow yourself to experience the journey without knowing what the outcome will be. You may achieve far more than you ever imagined. Whether you win or not, you will gain something even more valuable - confidence, resilience, determination, unforgettable emotions & incredible experience. Competitions inspire you in a way that everyday work often cannot. As creative professionals, we need inspiration to keep growing & competitions are one of the greatest sources of it. Believe in yourself, don’t let the fear of losing stop you & always give yourself the chance to succeed. You might surprise yourself.
