Why did you choose to join the Nailympia circuit?: I was my first floor competition in my life. I chose the Nailympia competition because it is important for me to take part in championships with an international status & a transparent judging system. The level of preparation of the participants & the panel of judges set a very high standard & this is exactly what motivates me to grow, improve my technique, and prove my professionalism. What has winning at Nailympia done for your career & confidence?: Winning the gel polish competition became an important turning point for me. First of all, it gave me confidence in myself as a nail artist: I realised that I can meet championship-level standards & compete with strong participants. Secondly, it is proof of my professionalism - my technique, precision & ability to work under strict time limits. Career biography: From a young age my friends admired my nail art & always asked for advice. While studying economics at university, my best friend pushed me to train as a nail technician. I did it & never regretted it. What started as a hobby became my passion. In Ukraine I opened my own nail studio during the pandemic. When the war began, I moved to the USA with my mother-in-law & my 7-month-old daughter. For the past 3 years I’ve been successfully working in a salon in Washington, DC, constantly improving my skills. Now I’m ready for the next big step - competing at Nailympia.
Personal biography: I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. I’ve lived in four different countries. I finished high school & earned my degree in economics in Moscow. I’ve always been drawn to learning & trying new things. That curiosity led me to visit over 30 countries. I love biking & hiking.
Why you believe in nail competitions?: It motivates me to seek new approaches in the industry, break out of the usual routine, look for inspiration, resources & models.
Advice to other competitors: Work, work, work! Try to maintain a balance between family, work & health. Find a mentor & create a structured schedule. Learn from your mistakes & during competitions, try to release unnecessary tension. Don’t forget enjoy the process.
